- The Fundamentals of Engineering for Honors Program
The Fundamentals of Engineering for Honors program is a three-quarter sequence that Freshmen can undergo. The engineering courses involve drafting, programming, and a spring quarter design project in which students build an autonomous robot. It is also synchronized with courses in the Math and Physics department. It is commonly considered one of the best freshman engineering programs in the nation. OSU FIRST has a strong relationship with the FEH program—nearly all of our members are either currently in or have passed through this program, and a sizable number actually work for FEH as teaching assistants. Due to the experience many FIRST students have with engineering topics and the fact that the design project deals with robots, we strongly recommend giving FEH some attention. - The Center for Automotive Research
OSU FIRST teams frequently do design and construction work at CAR, alongside other OSU student projects such as the Buckeye Bullet and the OSU Formula SAE Team, and research in areas such as fuel cells and hybrid vehicles.
